Ty Burrell Replaces Christoph Waltz in The Muppets 2

Due to a scheduling conflict, Christoph Waltz won't be able to play the Interpol inspector in The Muppets 2 that is going to be set in Europe. Instead, Ty Burrell will take over the role, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

From the sound of things, the second Muppets movie will be more of an adventure movie. A caper, in fact.

"[In] the first movie, we introduce all the characters, and it was supposed to be nostalgic and emotionally hefty, and we did it. And we're now going to do a caper. It's gonna be a crazy, comedic, hijinks-y caper," screenwriter Nicholas Stoller said.

For the human characters, besides Burrell's Interpol inspector, there's going to be a Russian femme fatale. Jason Segal, sadly, won't be returning to reprise his role. He muppet brother, Walter, will however.

James Bobin, who directed the first movie, will return to direct the sequel, which is aiming to go before the camera in January 2013.
